  • Job Description

    • DEPROCESSING/IMAGING EMBEDDED HARDWARE

    o   Acquire images to perform the physical deprocessing of integrated circuits (ICs).

    o   Investigate and develop techniques to reduce or remove noise, balance intensity levels, and improve linearity of integrated circuit in all SEM captured images. 

    o   Perform image analysis/processing tools to complete image capture requirements. 

    • VULNERABILITY ANALYSIS

    o   Analyze the functionality of a hardware device

    o   Identify its security weaknesses/strengths

    o   Provide guidance for further enhancements

    o   Develop exploits to defeat hardware imposed security mechanisms that may enable retrieval of information stored within the device

    o   Use commercial design tools such as Cadence, Hercules, and Formality

    • SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

    o   Develop/enhance software tools and the associated graphical user interfaces (GUIs) to analyze, annotate and enhance images produced by any of the image acquisition tool systems

    o   Develop software programs in various programming languages (e.g. Python, C/C++/C#, Perl) in order to;

    • Implement image processing/manipulation algorithms.
    • Analyze digital logic and other circuit schematics.
    • Analyze large quantities of hardware-related data from a variety of sources.
    • Provide efficient software user interfaces.

    Candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or similiar) and at least seven years of relevant experience.  Current TS/SCI required
